Overview

Sport has an integral place in the curriculum of the Freshwater Senior Campus. We hold three major carnivals, Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics, to select our campus team to compete at the Zone Championships. This gives our students the opportunity to attain higher honours at Regional and CHS carnivals.

Teams compete in the traditional CHS Knock-out competitions throughout the year. This assists greatly in creating a spirit of involvement and achievement that filters through all areas of the campus.

A feature of sport is our ‘Squad Sports’ program. For students who are committed to competing at a high standard, squads have been formed in rugby league, soccer and basketball for boys; netball, soccer and basketball for girls. All squads are trained by high profile coaches from the northern beaches sporting community. Coaches include Tim Lees (Manly Sea Eagles), Phil Moss (Manly Warringah Soccer Association) and Brad Dalton (Manly Warringah Basketball Association).

To meet the Department of Education and Training’s sport requirements all year 11 students must complete a sport log book. This is used to record and validate in/out of school sporting involvement to show that they have completed the necessary hours of sport.
